Health & Safety Management Systems

Based upon its long experience in the field, EcoScan is able to offer support to customers who wish to implement Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMSs) conforming to OHSAS 18001. Further, since OHSAS 18001 is based in its general requirements upon ISO 14001 we are also able to assist in the development of Integrated Management Systems (IMSs) that combine the requirements of both Standards.

In practice, since health and safety issues have been subject to extensive regulation for many years, most companies already have the basic elements of an HSMS in place to ensure legal compliance. It is therefore usually relatively straightforward to incorporate existing procedures and practices into a management system framework, leaving only minor additions to enable the system to meet all the requirements of OHSAS 18001.

EcoScan can also offer Health and Safety system audits, legal compliance audits and legal updates in the same way that it does for environmental management systems.
